Youth Programs in October

We have another full month of programming for children at the Western Sullivan Public Library.  First we invite our youngest learners to join us at Let’s Play! This dynamic playgroup is designed for the more active child (3 and under). We've created a safe space for families to connect and children to interact with each other in open play. The loose structure will allow the group to fluidly spend time socializing as well as learning. We’ll meet at 10:00 - 11:30am on Tuesday, October 17th at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch & 10:00am on Tuesday, October 31st at the Jeffersonville Branch *COSTUMES WELCOME* of the Western Sullivan Public Library.

Another fun opportunity at the library for families with children ages 3-5 is a more traditional storytime where we read together, sing songs, learn age-old rhymes, participate in felt board-type activities, craft and play with our friends! We’ll meet at 10:15am on Thursday, October 26th at the Delaware Free Branch.

Children over 7, join us for a cool STEAM craft this month. We’ll learn how to illuminate beautiful paper craft circuits! Make sure to sign up for this Sugar Skull Craft Project and join us at 5:00pm on Tuesday, October 24th at the Delaware-Free Branch. Supplies and space are limited so don't forget to reserve your spot!

And of course, we’re excited for our annual rendition of Pumpkin Decorating. There will be two opportunities for you and your children to create a new family tradition or resume a previous one. During our time together, we will share fall stories and memories while we decorate pumpkins from our local farmers! We’ll be at the Jeffersonville Branch on Friday, October 20th at 4:30 pm; AND at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch on Monday, October 23rd at 5:30 pm. Space at each session is limited as supplies are included, so registration is required.
