What to do with Household Hazardous Waste and Household Composting Programs

Earth Day is every day in Sullivan County! Join Bill Cutler, Sullivan County Recycling Coordinator, at the Western Sullivan Public Library for timely local information about Household Hazardous Waste Management and Household Composting.

Learn how to collect and properly manage residentially-generated hazardous household materials. This includes but is not limited to herbicides, pesticides, mercury-containing items, cleaning products, pool chemicals, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, fluorescent bulbs, lead-based/oil-based paints, solvents, acids, bases, old fuels and preservatives, just to name a few.

Bill will be discussing Household Hazardous Waste Management at the Jeffersonville Branch on Wednesday, April 17th, 6:30pm.  On Tuesday, April 30th, 6:30pm he’ll be at the Delaware Free Branch for a discussion on Household Composting.
