What is black gold?

Master Gardener, Dennis Hewston will be at the Jeffersonville Branch to share his secret formula for “black gold” – a gardener’s dream fertilizer made from household composting of decayed organic material. According to the EPA, food scraps and yard waste together currently makeup about 30 percent of what we throw away, and should be composted instead.

The program will take place at the Jeffersonville Branch, Wednesday, September 19th at 6:00pm. Register today to learn how to start composting at home.   To register, visit the library online at WSPLonline.org or call (845) 482-4350.
