February Children's Programs

Family Fun Game Night: Come enjoy a night out as a family!  We’ll get together with other families to play some good ol’ fashion board games...and some new ones! Join us at the Delaware Free Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library on Tuesday, February 5th from 6:00 - 7:00pm. Light refreshments will be served; come for any or all of the time! Please register online at www.WSPLonline.org

Let’s Play! This storytime is intended for the more active child and children under 3. We'll have a healthy blend of open play, structured games, felt board activities and storybook reading. The loose structure will allow the group to fluidly spend time socializing together. We’ll meet at 10:00 am on Wednesdays (February 13th and 20th) at the Jeffersonville Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library. Register online at www.WSPLonline.org

Storytime: We'll read together, sing songs, learn age-old rhymes, participate in felt board type activities, craft and play with our friends! This program is intended for ages 3-5, but all are welcome. We’ll meet at 10:30 am on Thursdays (February 7th, 14th and 21st) at the Delaware Free Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library  and at 10:30 am on Tuesdays (February 12th, 19th and 26th) at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library. Register online at www.WSPLonline.org.

Intro to Gong Meditation: Join us as local expert Marc Switko takes us on an experience in mindfulness. Participants will learn the history, practice, and usage of the instrument. We will enjoy a brief meditation and learn some basic techniques on how to properly play a gong. We’ll be at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library at 5:30pm on Friday, February 22nd.

As part of 2019’s NYS Summer Reading Program Theme “A Universe of Stories”, each month this year we’ll explore a different aspect of our solar system. In February, we’ll take a trip to Mysterious Mercury. During our time together, we’ll learn fun facts about Mercury, explore all the unique aspects of this planet and of course, we'll take time to create Mercury inspired art! Hope to see you at 5:30pm on Wednesday, February 27th in our Jeffersonville Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library.
